It's starting to happen....

I've booked and paid for my flights, conference fees, accommodation in Maastricht and Paris and a "Paris Pass" that will let me see lots of the sights of Paris.  I've figured out where I can go to church for two of the three Sundays I'll be away (the third Sunday somehow gets lost between a Saturday and a Monday on my way back while crossing the International Dateline (weirdly enough).  I'm brushing up on French with an Internet course.  I'm getting my poster sorted for the conference. The only thing I've got qualms about is a 12 hour trip to Shanghai, a 5 hour stopover at Pudong Airport and then ANOTHER 12 hour trip to Amsterdam. And I don't sleep on planes. Not ever. Also there are NO SHOWERS at Pudong Airport.  Clearly I am going to be a wreck when I arrive in Amsterdam!!
